My set lengths are very variable. They could consist of a full 45 minute to 1 hour set with no breaks, two 25-30 minute sets or three 15-20 minute sets.
I would be grateful to receive an idea of the style and genre that you would like me to perform, as well as song suggestions or requests. For example, if you chose the three 15-20 minute sets, I would love for one of the three short sets to be completely your chosen songs; the other two short sets would then be selected songs from my rep, tailored to fit your chosen style.
I am well-versed in choosing ideal anthems for weddings, funerals, and other services. I also have experience singing both the chorus and solo parts of significant choral works such as Requiems, Masses and Passions. Choral anthems and oratorios are often very suitable for receptions, wakes and other events, providing peaceful and subtle background music. Examples of solo works in my choral repertoire are: Alleluia (Mozart), Pie Jesu (Faure and/or Durufle), Domine Deus (Vivaldi), and How Beautiful Are The Feet (Handel).
In addition, I am accomplished at performing wartime songs, old British Classics, and some folk tunes. For example, White Cliffs of Dover, We'll Gather Lilacs, and O Danny Boy.
I have grown a vast repertoire of classical Soprano, Mezzo and Alto solos through my training at the Junior Royal Northern College of Music. I accomplished the ARSM Diploma through this training and was awarded a Distinction. A lot of my current day go-to solos are from that repertoire. I also grew my repertoire by performing at Cathedral lunchtime concerts, Christmas concerts, charity concerts, the annual remembrance concert in Ripon Cathedral and other solo gigs in the past. All these opportunities allowed me to grow in confidence and experience. Some examples of songs in my repertoire include: O Mio Babbino Caro (Puccini), Sleep (Gurney), Lascia Ch'io Pianga (Handel), Oh Had I Jubal's Lyre (Handel) and Loves Philosophy (Quilter).
My love for musical theatre keeps growing as I am more aware of the fantastic songs that new and old musicals have to offer. During Year 13, I took my ABRSM Grade 8 in Musical Theatre Voice, where I was awarded a Distinction. The four songs I performed for this exam were all brand new to me at the beginning of the experience, which made it even more exciting and eye-opening. As of now, some of my favourite musical theatre songs in my repertoire are: Climb Every Mountain (Sound of Music), Summertime (Porgy and Bess), She Used To Be Mine (Waitress), Still Hurting (Last Five Years), With You (Ghost) and Breathe (In The Heights).
I am also growing my pop Ballard repertoire, which often has a lot of crossover with the musical theatre style.
