I am a passionate singer with a rich choral background, accomplished in various styles including classical, opera and musical theatre. My journey began as a chorister at Ripon Cathedral in 2012, where I sang with the cathedral choir for seven years. This developed me immensely as a singer, a musician and a person. In 2020, my singing career took the next step. I was accepted into the Royal Northern College of Music's Junior program, where I received world class teaching in classical voice (my first study), as well as in trumpet (my secondary study), conducting, and compositional analysis. This high-level training provided me with the strong solo foundations of the voice that I have today. My love for other styles of singing continued to blossom alongside my choral and classical training. Musical theatre, folk, opera and pop are all styles that I thoroughly enjoy singing to this day.

I am in my second year at St Chad's College, Durham, where I read Music. During my first year at Durham, I was part of many university-wide ensembles, including St Chad's Chapel Choir, Durham University Choral Society, the newly founded choral group Laudibus, and the highly renowned Durham University Chamber Choir. As of September 2025, I took up the role of Alto Choral Scholar at Durham Cathedral. A position that I have been wanting to achieve since I started my university application process. This role has provided me with so many new musical opportunities, connections within the choral world and excellent mentoring and friendships. I am really loving my first year as a scholar, and am continuing the position into my final year here at Durham.
The next step for me is to further develop my solo performance across all styles of music and occasions, not just the choral life. I would love any opportunity that comes my way to sing at professional, paid gigs with new and interesting people to work with and perform for.
